TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT - PMICV Winter 2021 Webinar Series


PMI Professional Development Units: Up to 21 PDUs if attending all events in the series. A minimum of 12 Technical PDUs for this series.
How to join the event: Registered individuals will be emailed a link to join each session/event a minimum of 24 hours prior to the start of the event. Please make sure your email when registering is up to date and accurate, especially if you are logged in with your PMI profile.
Event Video Recording and Pictures: Please note that by completing your registration and attending this event, you are authorizing PMI Champlain Valley chapter to record video, audio, and pictures of this event which may or may not include your likeness and be shared via social media and/or utilized in chapter marketing efforts. This includes in-person, online webinars, and virtual events.
Claiming PDUS: Claim codes for PDUs awarded for attending all PMICV events will be made available to all registered attendees within one week of the event end date.

Course Introduction
Desai Management Consulting and partner Conceptia, Ltd. are hosting an on-line training class for “Leading A Scaled Agile Framework”. Attendees will gain the knowledge necessary to lead a Lean-Agile enterprise by leveraging the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®) and its underlying principles derived from Lean, systems thinking, Agile development, product development flow, and DevOps (Development Operations).
Participants in the class gain insights into mastering Business Agility in order to thrive in the competitive market. They discuss how to establish team and technical agility and organize and re-organize around the flow of value. They also learn and practice the skills for supporting and executing PI Planning events and coordinating multiple Agile Release Trains (ARTs). Participants in the class explore the importance of adopting a customer-centric mindset and design thinking approach to agile product delivery. Learners also develop an understanding for implementing a Lean Portfolio Management function in their enterprise.
You will learn how to:
· Lead the transformation to Business Agility with SAFe®
· Become a Lean-Agile Leader
· Understand customer needs with Design Thinking
· Enable Agile Product Delivery
· Implement Lean Portfolio Management
Attending the class prepares individuals to take the exam and become a certified SAFe® Agilist (SA).

The on-line course will be held for 3 days, February 8,9 &10 (Monday – Wednesday), with schedule as follows:
· Day 1: 9:00am - 5:00pm EDT
· Day 2: 9:00am - 5:00pm EDT
· Day 3: 9:00am - 5:00pm EDT

Desai Management Consulting and the training partner Conceptia, Ltd. are hosting an on-line training class for “SAFe® 5.0 Certified Scrum Master”. SAFe's Certified Scrum Master Certification training course includes 3-Day of instructor-led training (ILT) presented by a certified SAFe Program Consultant (SPC). During the course, you will acquire the specific skills, behaviors and the mindset necessary to become a successful Certified Scrum Master and servant-leader. Through training, practice sessions and role-playing activities, you will learn Scrum to create customer satisfaction with the continuous delivery of high-value software.

Earn PDUs by Volunteering
Volunteering Project Management Professional PDUs can be earned as part of Category E: Volunteer Service. Category E, along with Category D (Creating New Project Knowledge) and Category F (Working as a Professional in Project Management), comprise the Giving Back To The Profession Categories. You can earn PDUs in Category E (Volunteer Service) by providing volunteer, non-compensated project management, and many others.
Speakers for our Chapter's Events
Our PMI Chapter welcomes proposals from passionate speakers interested in sharing their experiences, knowledge and expertise on such topics as general business and strategy, leadership, project management, and technical or industry-specific specialties. Our Professional Development events provide professional development units (PDUs) of educational information necessary for those attendees maintaining certification designations. Speakers are also eligible to claim PDUs for their creation and delivery of the presentation material.
