Join PMICV for our next Dinner Meeting Event – Wednesday May 15th, 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm:
Ross Hughes: From Project Manager to Enterprise Agile Coach
Ross Hughes is a Scrum Alliance Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC) with almost 30 years of software product development experience in diverse domains such as air traffic control, 911 dispatch systems for police/fire/EMS, medical device
imaging, telecommunication and automotive digital marketing. In these applications, he has contributed in various roles such as a software engineer,project/program management, engineering director, scrum master and Enterprise Agile coach.
Ross’s agile journey began in 2005 when he joined IDX. Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber, the inventors of Scrum, first implemented Agile at scale at IDX. When GE Healthcare acquired IDX, Ross supported the merger of the two cultures;
eventually becoming Scrum Master, Release Train Engineer, and then Agile Coach. The experiences in these positions taught Ross how to effectively scale agile values, principles and practices into extremely large and geographically-dispersed teams. Ross then brought Agile to dealer.com and continued to lead their transformation through a subsequent acquisition of Dealertrack and then Dealer.com by Cox Automotive.
In 2016, Ross left Cox Automotive to become an Enterprise Scrum Trainer and Coach with Trail Ridge Consulting. He has since provided support to recognized industry leaders
like Google, McKinsey and Company, GE Research.
Ross is optimistic about the power of teams to solve our world's most important problems and is passionate about helping them do this through better collaboration.
